Capsanem Leatherjacket Killer (50million)

Capsanem (Leatherjacket killer) contains 50 million Steinernema carpocapsae per box and is formulated for use in the biological control of various insect pests in both protected and outdoor crops. It is highly effective across a wide temperature range and can also be applied as a foliar treatment.

Some of the pests that Capsanem can control include caterpillars, such as the tomato leaf miner moth, European pepper moth, and box tree moth, as well as armyworms, cotton bollworms, corn earworms, and cutworms.

Its most common use is for the treatment of Leatherjackets. 

It is also effective against beetle larvae, fly larvae, bugs, and mole crickets, including the Colorado potato beetle, flatheaded root borer, shore flies, crane flies, tomato bug, sycamore lace bug, European mole cricket, and American mole crickets.

How to Use- Nematodes (Example for 10ltr Knapsack/Watering can)

Apply by Knapsack / Watering Can without filters to the soil/compost around target plants.

• Mix one sachet (25million) in 5Ltr of room temperature water to make a stock solution.
• Stir regularly to ensure even distribution
• Take 500ml of the stock and add to 9.5ltr of water equally 10ltr in total.
• Each 10ltr of final solution is sufficient to treat 5m² of targeted area.
• Repeat above steps again until stock solution is gone.
• Remember to stir the stock in between applications.
• Use the entire pack after opening as solution will not keep.

 Nematodes are susceptible to ultraviolet light (UV) try to use in duller periods off the day for best results.

The moisture content of soil must be high before and after application as it enhances nematodes activity.
